One of Evelyn’s more fun recent developments is playing peek-a-boo.  When we first started playing a couple months ago, we would put one of her burp cloths over her face and then pull it off and she would smile and squeal.  Well, now she loves it so much that if you give her the cloth to hang onto, she puts it over her face herself and pulls it off too!  It’s really funny, especially, because she’ll do it with just about anything now: toys, books, blankets.  And while her face is covered up, she gets so excited that she laughs and kicks and thrashes her arms in anticipation.
Also, Evy is gettomg better and better at sitting up, and every day she is able to sit on her own a little bit longer.  In fact, I’m sure that she could sit completely unassisted if it weren’t for the fact that she’s so active.  She’s always moving and/or reaching for something, so she frequently topples over backwards or off to one side.  However, with a little support, she can sit on the floor for a long period of time.  She recently sat in both a grocery cart and restaurant high chair for the first time too, which she really enjoyed, especially with the toys attached to the pretty cover that Grandma got for her!
